I just want to say that I gave this movie 5 stars begin, because the film itself deserves, which is not the Blu-ray release.
Unfortunately, the "Network edition of Night of the Living Dead is a full left (easy). You must have a really bad transmission may be used, if ever they were from the original 35 mm elements.
First of all, the United Kingdom in two versions NOTLD available on Blu-ray: The best version and the output of the network (which is theBlu-ray, which is also available in the U.S.). The optimal variant was almost perfect! The sound quality was perfect and it seemed that the original negative was used to transfer the film on Blu-ray. But what makes this version is extremely annoying that the image is cut into a perfect release. Not so bad at first, but the crop is shockingly bad and I felt like the movie more. I do not understand why! If they have done something right, why not letOriginal image to its original size?
Now, for the network share ... (The one with the green cover and a helping hand to all). The image in this version is not circumcised. It is presented in its original size. But for some reason felt the network to play people need to work with color correction. Sometimes the image is sooo out, blown, that I hardly see the face of Barbara or what happened on the screen, as in Ben lit a fire in front of the farmhouse. Compare EliteMillennium Edition or 40th Anniversary edition of George Romero with this Blu-ray. Want had never bought the Blu-ray, because there are a much higher quality (picture and sound wise). The tone of the network version is very loud sometimes. If music is loud, sounds like the film tries to rip the speakers. The last thing I want to mention, over the network version is a terrible decision, a copy of the film, spending about 30 missingSeconds of the film! It means you're not only buying a copy of sub-standard film, but also a copy of the missing dialogue and scenes faster. For some, a few seconds is not far of an agreement that is fair. For me it is outrageous!
Basically, if you are very desperate for this Blu-ray, but go for the lesser of two evils and buy the best variant from the United Kingdom. Has the original poster as the cover 60 with the slogan "You do not stay deadon them. Personally, I advise you to stick with the Millennium or 40 Anniv. Editions, or simply buy one of these if you do not already own the film.
It is a disguise for them, how bad the quality of films coming out Blu-ray! The only reason for this Blu-ray available, because the film is public domain knowledge as most of you. This makes it extremely difficult to find the right quality versions of this film, because there are so many out there! What makes it worse is that people buyThese bad versions of these and help producers earn more bad press, which in turn gives them the incentive to continue these versions. Rather, you save money for the elite day decides to transfer the film on Blu-ray on the right, or hopes, Criterion decided to make their own Blu-ray.
