Night of the Living Dead Blu-Ray Region A (North America)

Customer Reviews

I just want to say that I gave this movie 5 stars begin, because the film itself deserves, which is not the Blu-ray release.

Unfortunately, the "Network edition of Night of the Living Dead is a full left (easy). You must have a really bad transmission may be used, if ever they were from the original 35 mm elements.

First of all, the United Kingdom in two versions NOTLD available on Blu-ray: The best version and the output of the network (which is theBlu-ray, which is also available in the U.S.). The optimal variant was almost perfect! The sound quality was perfect and it seemed that the original negative was used to transfer the film on Blu-ray. But what makes this version is extremely annoying that the image is cut into a perfect release. Not so bad at first, but the crop is shockingly bad and I felt like the movie more. I do not understand why! If they have done something right, why not letOriginal image to its original size?

Now, for the network share ... (The one with the green cover and a helping hand to all). The image in this version is not circumcised. It is presented in its original size. But for some reason felt the network to play people need to work with color correction. Sometimes the image is sooo out, blown, that I hardly see the face of Barbara or what happened on the screen, as in Ben lit a fire in front of the farmhouse. Compare EliteMillennium Edition or 40th Anniversary edition of George Romero with this Blu-ray. Want had never bought the Blu-ray, because there are a much higher quality (picture and sound wise). The tone of the network version is very loud sometimes. If music is loud, sounds like the film tries to rip the speakers. The last thing I want to mention, over the network version is a terrible decision, a copy of the film, spending about 30 missingSeconds of the film! It means you're not only buying a copy of sub-standard film, but also a copy of the missing dialogue and scenes faster. For some, a few seconds is not far of an agreement that is fair. For me it is outrageous!

Basically, if you are very desperate for this Blu-ray, but go for the lesser of two evils and buy the best variant from the United Kingdom. Has the original poster as the cover 60 with the slogan "You do not stay deadon them. Personally, I advise you to stick with the Millennium or 40 Anniv. Editions, or simply buy one of these if you do not already own the film.

It is a disguise for them, how bad the quality of films coming out Blu-ray! The only reason for this Blu-ray available, because the film is public domain knowledge as most of you. This makes it extremely difficult to find the right quality versions of this film, because there are so many out there! What makes it worse is that people buyThese bad versions of these and help producers earn more bad press, which in turn gives them the incentive to continue these versions. Rather, you save money for the elite day decides to transfer the film on Blu-ray on the right, or hopes, Criterion decided to make their own Blu-ray.

If you do not own the movie, these are the two versions, you must consider:

Night of the Living Dead (1968) (Was Sub)
Night of the Living Dead (Millennium Edition)
Otherwise, seriously, save your money!

Here's a link to a post that both Blu-ray versions to compare more detailed: [...].

Dan in Real Life [Blu-ray] Specifications

Steve Carell’s best film performance to date can be found in the fitfully engaging Dan In Real Life, where his long-suffering persona suits a character who lets his long-dormant hopes rise for a moment, only to be shot down again. Carell plays Dan Burns, a newspaper columnist who writes about family issues and relationships. As a widower with three growing girls to raise, however, the difference between Dan’s printed wisdom and his struggles with fatherhood and loneliness is often vast. He’s put to a severe test when he packs up the kids for a cabin holiday with his parents and siblings, then falls for the exotic, if elusive, Marie (Juliette Binoche) during a solo excursion to a bookstore. Stirred by a woman for the first time since his late wife, Dan is shocked to find that Marie is actually dating his brother Mitch (Dane Cook), and that she’ll be spending the vacation with him in the midst of his family. From that point, the script, co-written by director Peter Hedges (Pieces of April), pretty much becomes a parade of difficult circumstances under which both Dan and Marie have to keep their attraction to one another secret. Certain scenes work better than others, but there is an overall monotony to the movie that isn’t helped by a lack of onscreen chemistry between Binoche and Carell. Both actors are fine on their own terms, but whatever is supposed to be clicking between Marie and Dan isn’t compelling enough to make one truly care that they get together somehow. Still, this is a film with plenty of moments to like, especially when Carell gets to broaden his previous range of emotions in a movie. --Tom Keogh

I think this is a great film. This is life and fun and his family.
I gave a copy to my sister and brother-in monitor. But it was more than two months since I gave it to them and they have not looked. So the reason for the track. You are 70 and retired so that it does not, because they are not able to see 90 minutes. However, they have transformed their DVD player yet, the knowsDan in Real Life

Cheaper by the Dozen 2 [Blu-ray] Specifications

The best performance in Cheaper by the Dozen 2 is by an actress you've probably never heard of: 11-year-old Alyson Stoner, who plays Sarah, one of twelve children of Tom and Kate Baker (Steve Martin, Bowfinger, and Bonnie Hunt, Return to Me). The movie follows the popular clan of the previous remake of Cheaper by the Dozen as they go to a camp in the mountains, where Tom renews his rivalry with Jimmy Murtaugh (Eugene Levy, Bringing Down the House). To the movie's credit, it doesn't quite degenerate into a National Lampoon's Vacation knock-off, though it comes perilously close. But thanks to the grace of Bonnie Hunt and general good spirits of the cast of kids (including Tom Welling, Smallville; Hilary Duff, The Perfect Man, who in some scenes becomes uncomfortably Lolita-esque; and Piper Perabo, Coyote Ugly, among others), this unnecessary sequel manages to remain enjoyable to anyone with a taste for broad family movies. But Stoner--as a tomboy getting her first crush--brings considerable charisma to her generically-written part, and her scenes give the movie a much-needed emotional lift. Otherwise, it's a movie in which Carmen Electra plays the voice of reason (in a series of tight-fitting tops). --Bret Fetzer

Customer Reviews

A touching, poignant film about family ties with a good play clean up.

The Baker's Dozen are again some interesting interaction with another large family. Rilvary and some love connections are the result.

My family and I enjoyed Cheaper by the Dozen, but this sequel is even more fun. Fun for the whole family.

Old Dogs - 3 Disc Blu-ray Combo Pack (Includes DVD + Digital Copy) Specifications

Who says you can't teach Old Dogs new tricks? Robin Williams and John Travolta are the old, single "dogs" in question, reveling in great chemistry as lifelong pals who've together grown a successful marketing empire--but who have somehow managed to avoid ever really growing up. The cast, featuring Travolta's real wife, Kelly Preston (who, with costar Rita Wilson, reveals just how fine a comedian she is, and how the screen really sparkles when she's on it), and his real-life daughter Ella Bleu, is top-notch. Other great performances include Bernie Mac, a sultry Lori Loughlin, Matt Dillon, and a dynamite Seth Green as a mini-mogul in training. The plot revolves around the Old Dogs' suddenly needing to care for twin 7-year-olds (the heretofore unknown children of Williams's character, Dan) and finding that they learn as much from the kids as vice versa. Moans Dan to Travolta's Charlie, after awkwardly tucking in the kids for the night at Charlie's bachelor pad, "I just shook hands goodnight with my daughter." Old Dogs is a fun family film that's appropriate for ages 8 and up, with enough jokes and great timing to please grownups too. --A.T. Hurley

Customer Reviews

I think if I can sit and enjoy a lot of clean humor, a good laugh. John Travolta and Robin Williams have great chemistry together, and as you all know, are always fun. What I really loved was the way the mood was touching that subject with humor. Great movie - I laughed aloud when children cases on pill and side effects kicked in, John and Robin faces are fabulous! All the actors were also very supportive. My favorite scene is the zoowhere the small "Japanese want is a" red head hysterically in the arms of the monkey. Do you like your organic & popcorn! Laughter is great medicine and something which recommends a Certified Natural Health Professional, I will not often. Enjoy!

I was surprised when I last night through the songs on this Blu-ray skimmed milk. I saw it in its entirety this evening.
Now I have a lot of concerts over the years and have seen many, many concerts on DVD and Blu-ray and
This concert is the best concert I've ever seen. I'm a fan of foreigners for years, but not really a hardcore fan.
Regardless, these six guys with every song in September I am amazed by the voice of Kelly Hanson, the great range and very, very
similarthe voice of Lou Gramm. Although I think Lou Gramm a great voice, Kelly Hanson had played very well so
if not better than the originals. If you like Foreigner on everything you love this concert. If you like Foreigner
This is a must buy. Believe me, this concert is fantastic!

Sunshine [Blu-ray] Specifications

A novel blend of doomsday thriller and meditative science fiction, Danny Boyle's Sunshine imagines a disturbing future in which mankind must re-ignite the sun or face total extinction. A team of scientists and crew members (played by an eclectic cast that includes Cillian Murphy from Boyle's 28 Days Later, The Fantastic Four's Chris Evans, Rose Byrne of TV's Damages, and martial-arts legend Michelle Yeoh) is dispatched to the dying star, but disaster strikes from almost every conceivable angle; as the crew is whittled down by accidents and psychological breaks, the survivors must discover a way to carry out the mission or seal the fate of the world's population. Alternately exciting and pensive, Sunshine's dichotomous tone may throw viewers expecting a special-effects bonanza (though the film's visuals are frequently stunning), but for those who recall such cerebral '70s efforts as Silent Running and Phase IV, Boyle's unusual take will be refreshing and even fascinating. The DVD includes commentaries by Boyle and Dr. Brian Cox, who served as the film's science advisor; Boyle also lends his voice to a brace of deleted scenes, including an alternate ending (which doesn't improve on the one used in the film). Thorough production diaries cover every aspect of the film's execution, from casting to special effects design, while a pair of unrelated short films by Chris Shepherd and Dan Arnold seems to be included only as a gesture of Boyle's appreciation for these directors. --Paul Gaita

What a wonderful piece bad, but the cinema. Spoiled in a good way, like a bad hero, shortcomings in a way that makes it even more compelling to watch.

Sunshine, as the name of the ship, turn around ("Icarus II" - there will be some inspiration II - implication: you have not learned the lesson Hat?) Major elements of Greek tragedy and the human arrogance: it is likely no coincidence that the premise of the film is quite absurd that a small group of people who are sent toRevive the dying sun by firing a nuclear weapon, "the size of Manhattan" on them. Regardless, the sun is really just a giant nuclear reactor is billion times the size of Manhattan - a point made repeatedly by Danny Boyle shot the spaceship and the planets Mercury, surmounted by the colossal inferno crew direction in the plane.

Boyle photo is exquisite: There are a number of pieces that convey timeless set the total abandonment of weed infestationHomo sapiens before the Almighty dimensions of the cosmos. Elsewhere, rendering the screen is inventive and eloquent and elegant at all times. There are some amusing implausibility embedded (and not only very premise of the film, for example, gravity seems to come and go with the air pressure), but none that are not exposed in the cast like to disbelief bucket for a few hours. This is a very well made and stylish film, and one that would be much more impressivecimema a screen at home on television (which, alas, where I saw). The music is intelligent, also recalls Brian Eno's Apollo: Atmospheres and Soundtracks.

This does not mean that there is great consistency, perhaps intent is Boyle's major issues, but is less interested in responding. This is a long tradition of intelligent science fiction, "Of course, say - some would, is a characteristic of the best films of this kind (egSolaris and 2001: A Space Odyssey, which is similar for both Sunshine significantly).

That is, for all its visceral beauty, the sun, it is often difficult to understand exactly what is happening and why. Icarus II have had problems, which require the two astronauts on a spacewalk to evaluate and correct: it is not clear what caused the damage, since it addresses the assembly, or because leachate events as they do. There are several plotDevelopments that are not drawn enough, and felt to me that this is a case fell exhibition was held design. Although there are obvious flaws special effects are given, you get the feeling that they filmed with care not to over-utilize their limits: blur, flip jump-cuts, Lens Flare, and so on are creative. Therefore you must have no choice but to wash all the ambiguity and contradiction, and enjoy the film for mattersshe asks and shows images, but as an expression of a coherent storyline.

This is harder than the film reaches its conclusion, it is more character driven and that the pattern of trade in advance. This plunged the exposure can not let the movie by: None of the characters are presented very well (the first is a clash between two of them, which is never explained), and a little more attention to back story Might Have helped clarify the historyIntention. Sunshine is a movie not too long, and you sense a "Director's Cut," adding in some of these back-story would make a difference. Searle's character, for example, certainly had more space for the depth of what is ultimately delivered, and more attention could be paid to the fate of Icarus I was

Amazon readers Sunshine scored very difficult: Maybe they expected something like Armageddon: This is definitely other end of the spectrum of science fiction. This is aFilm, which certainly would repay re-watching.

Good Night and Good Luck [Blu-ray] Specifications

Without force-feeding its timely message, Good Night, and Good Luck illuminates history to enlighten our present, when the need for a free and independent press is more important than ever. In 90 breathtaking minutes of efficient and intricate storytelling, writer-director George Clooney and cowriter Grant Heslov pay honorable tribute to the journalistic integrity of legendary CBS newscaster Edward R. Murrow, who confronted the virulent and overzealous anti-Communist witch-hunting of Wisconsin Sen. Joseph McCarthy in 1953-54, and emerged as a triumphant truth-seeker against the abuses of corporate and governmental power. As played by David Strathairn, Murrow is a dogged realist, keenly aware of the smear tactics that will be employed against him; Clooney provides crucial backup as Murrow's "See It Now" producer and closest confidante Fred Friendly, forming a fierce but not entirely fearless triumvirate of broadcasting bravery with CBS chief William Paley (Frank Langella), who anxiously champions Murrow's cause under constant threat of reprisals. While using crisp black-and-white cinematography (by Robert Elswit) to vividly recreate the electrifying atmosphere of the CBS newsroom and the early years of television, Clooney (son of long-time Cincinnati newsman Nick Clooney) proves his directorial skill by juggling big themes and an esteemed ensemble cast, never stooping to simplification of ethically complex material. Good Night, and Good Luck is an instant classic, destined for all the accolades it so richly deserves. --Jeff Shannon

That was actually a better film I thought it might be. This selection was found when I made a selection of films Redbox, and she has promised, very funny. The opening sequence (with the news, reporter, etc. we are talking about an epidemic and the lady with the bow in front) arouses your interest and you wonder what will happen and then the film begins. At first glance it seems like a typical polar research station set up, but quickly develops into something creepy.

The end is not your stereotypical happy end, where do the man and the girl is dandy and all, and actually leads in the first scene, which for a film that is incredibly realistic. Vampires and werewolves and giant anacondas are fun, but this movie really hits home because the parasite bug already in this world, and I saw the pictures andRead the stories of these nasty infections.
